Hey look, it's a post!

I've been in a creative slump for a long time, and coupled with a website that ran out of space, I've ended up putting everything on hold.

But, I do still take photos sometimes, so I just spent a couple of days getting my photography gallery in order.

I put a large number up, but here are some of my personal favourites :)

Recently a giant squid was on display in a giant glass tube at Kelly Tarltons. This is the best image I got of the underside of its tentacle.

Pukeko sunbathing (well, I assume that's what it was doing with it's wing up in the air like that..

Kashin (background) and Burma, playing with logs and things. They'd both just had sand baths so they're a bit grubby..

Female spider monkey, mid-swing :)

Mangrove shoots

Reflections in a duck pond

Marilyn! at the beach! in the wind! the day after our wedding. Not sure why I never put this one up before because I love it

The beloved. Not the most technically brilliant shot I've ever taken, but it's very personal and I think that it shows.

This is what my beach (Muriwai) looks like at sunset :)

A boardwalk through the wetlands in Tauranga

The view from the rich people part of my neighborhood

I love this one because the boardwalk, the mud and the grasses were all just a very dull brown shade and I took the photo at the end of the day after the sun had gone behind the hill so we were in shadow. It looks as if I've leached the colour but I haven't changed anything about it.

Don't ask me what this is. I just like it. The water keeps it cool, whatever it is.

Um, the access stair up to the operations area of a pulp machine. I think. Or it might be one of the pulp rollers. I wish I'd taken notes.

Spinny thing!

The fumes cause paint to corrode in some very interesting ways..

Believe it or not, this is cooked woodpulp coming out of the kiln. It will eventually become paper.
